The Indepower Program

Empowerment workshops brought to domestic violence shelters across New York City — confidential and free of charge.

Our program includes a combination of educational courses and individual consulting run by industry professionals to help survivors build knowledge and skills for self-reliance.

Offered to any survivor impacted by violence, we focus on providing equitable support to women, Black+ and Latinx+ communities, immigrant communities, LGBTQIA+ communities, and those living with disabilities.

We measure self-reliance through outcomes including:

  • Career stability and advancement

  • Financial stability and independence
